Converting S1 Visa to Temporary Resident Permit

I have posted part 1 of my question already (see British Citizen Married to Bosnian and married in Singapore) and it was kindly answered by Betty.

Part 2 is: Having obtained S1 for my wife and daughter, do I still need to authenticate the marriage certificate and birth certificate in their country of issue (both issued in Singapore) before we can get the resident permit, or will the country issuing the S1, do this automatically?

For info, we were living in Delhi and still have valid resident permits there, so we plan to get the S1 visas done in Delhi (my wife is Bosnian, daughter is British), rather than doing separately my wifes in Bosnia and daughters in UK. I guess a further question is whether India will issue them S1 with just the original birth and marriage certificates.

Tim, if they already acquire S1 and enter China with S1 types, birth certificate and marriage certificate are not required to be authenticated. If they enter with other types and plan to change into S1, then these documents have to be authenticated. This is what is published on the Beijing Police Station website.

Seriously, I have no idea how CVASC center in New Delhi deals with your situation because your marriage certificate and birth certificate were not issued in India. I just find the contact information of the CVASC center in New Delhi. You might contact them for figure this out. Good Luck!
