About:China Tourist Visa

How difficult is it to get L visa?

I am a little concerned about spending $1,200 for a round trip ticket to China without entry permit, because I obviously cannot make the trip if my application is denied (I am a U.S. citizen). Is it difficult to obtain an L? I am planning to travel for 12 days in September on vacation.

John, although the application fee and air tickets are expensive, it's easy for US people to apply for L types. I have to say that L type should be the easiest one to be acquired.
