i am staying in wangfujing area on 1, 2 & 3 september.

Question

can I visit Tianamen Square,  the Forbidden City and the Great Wall during these days as I have been told that the Wangfujing area will be closed to taxis and other public transport. If I am unable to get transport out of Wangfujing what local sight seeing can you suggest/Thank-you for your assistance!

Yes, there will be traffic control in that area on Sep.3rd. But I've never heard about Sep.1 and 2nd. You can still travel as usual on these two days.On 3rd, you can go to appreciate the grand military parade in Tianmen Sqaure. It's within walking distance from Wangfujing.Or if you are not interested, you can travel to some other places by subway. The Wangfujing subway exit/entry is seldomly closed even if there is a traffic control.
