I am a British citizen from UK and I like to get a student visa for china

i like to learn Chinese language and culture. Do I have to apply for school first before I fill the application and can I study to learn Chinese language and culture?

Robert, you are right. You have find a school first. Then your school should be able to help you acquire the JW201/202 form and issue the admission letter. With these two documents, you can visit the CVASC center and apply for X type.
