About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Consecutive Reapplication of Visa

I am a UK citizen and my GF has accepted a 2year work contract in Canton. I intend to accompany her by obtaining a 12month multiple entry Type L then once that expires obtaining another one. Can I do that or is there a minimum required time period between each? Thank you! B

Brendan, there is no minimum required time period between each entry. You can exit and then reenter, but if you do it too frequently, you may be stopped by the officer to be questioned.

Hi, Brendan here =) what I was asking was not about the minimum time between ENTRIES. I was asking about was the minimum time between the VISAS (the end of one 12month travel type and the start of another 12month travel visa). thank you again! B

Sorry. There is no time interval. You can apply for another one immediately after your current one is expired. Since you are British, you might go to HK to apply. If they insist that you should get back to UK to apply, then you have no choice but return to apply.
