USA citizen living in Ireland looking for a Chinese visa

Hi I am a USA citizen living in Ireland. I am looking for a Chinese tourist type. Can I apply in Dublin? How many days can I get maximum? Do I need an invitation letter? Is it straightforward or would I be best to go through an agency?
Thank you, Anthony

Anthony, you can apply for PRC entry permit from Ireland without hiring an agency. The application process takes about four working days. I don't know what type are you looking for, so I'm not sure whether the invitation letter is needed or not.
