About:China Visa Application in USA

When applying for the Chinese visa, must you submit proof of flight transportation and hotel stay?

Well, it depends on what type you are applying. If you apply for the tourist type and you will stay in your friend's apartment or somewhere except hotels, you can ask your friend to send you an invitation letter so that the flight tickets and hotel bookings are not required to submit.
