Is there a bus that goes straight to Vietnam from Kunming?

In the East Bus Station, there are buses going to Hekou, the border of China and Vietnam. Pass the border, you will arrive at that country.
There are four buses leaving at 10:00, 11:40, 14:30 and 19:30. The bus ride is about 7 – 8 hours, and the fare is CNY146 – 149.

Thanks Cindy! Very helpful! Do you know if there are any buses that go straight to Hanoi? Or do I have to just go to Hekou and then get a separate bus from there to Hanoi?0

Oh, there is no direct long-distance bus between these two places.
You need to take a coach from East Bus Station, get off at Hekou County first. Then transfer a train or bus to arrive at Hanoi.0
