My visa (M - Category) was expired on July 30, 2015

I did not enter in china for personal reasons. Now, I have a requirement to go to china (my first visit) so, my questions is that do I need to re-apply with all the documents like Invitation Letter, Character Certificate etc I previously used? Will it be a fresh application?
