How long it takes to get the cancellation of working visa?

Hello,
I'm currently working as a teacher in Shijiazhuang. I will end my contract this August 31 and I will transfer to another employer. My new employer asked for the cancellation of Z type. How long does it take to process the cancellation? How many days left to stay after I get my Z type cancelled?

Jj, if your employer cancels yoru work permit at labor bureau, then it will expire immediately. However, your residence permit is still valid. You should get a new work permit from your current employer as soon as possible and then renew your residence permit at the local exit and entry administration.

How many days for me to stay after my Z type is cancelled?some say they will give 7 days or 5 days?

If they do not cancel your residence permit, you can stay until your residence permit expires. If they want to cancel your residence permit too, you can apply for a one-month L type at the exit and entry administration office before the residence permit expires.
