About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does she qualify for 72 hour free transit visa?

Hello my wife has a Canadian passport and she is she is flying from Vancouver to Bangkok via Beijing. She has asked the airline for a 48 hours stay in Beijing before she head to Bangkok.
