About:Datong Transportation

Is it no longer possible to take bag folding bicycles in any of the trains from Datong to Beijing?

Yes, passengers are not allowed to take bag folding bicycles into passenger carriage any more.
But you can apply for Baggage Check-In Service at the railway station and claim it upon arrival.

Does that apply to all Train or only the high speed D and E types? I will otherwise have to take a bus. Disappointing really.
