Acording to the rules, they will not ask you to leave because you got infected with Syphilis. However, in the real practice, they may do this.

I think you should contact your school and tell the truth before you go there. Then it's up to them. They finally decide whether to let you study or not.

Wangyin, you still didn't understand what I said. First, you need to apply for X type if you want to study in China. If you stay more than 180 days, you should apply for X1 type. Its duration of stay is only 30 days. If you are lucky to get it, you need to change it to a resident permit within 30 days after you arrive. When you change it, you will be required to do the physical examination at the appointed hospital. They will give you the medical report. You need this report to apply for the resident permit. If you have positive syphilis result in the medical report, the local entry and exit management bureau may not issue the resident permit.

However, if the embassy requires medical report for applying X1, they will see positive syphilis too. It's very likely that they will turn down your application.
