About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I use the 72 hours free transit if I am in Hong Kong and I would like to visit beijing?

Hello,
Flight will be from Hong Kong to Beijing then back to Hong kong. My flight back to Europe will be a few days later, not going via China.

Passport holder from Belgium and Italy. I don't understand the "visa for a third country or region"

Hi Laurent, I'm sorry that you can't use the 72 hour free transit. You plan to fly from Hong Kong to Beijing and then back to HK, the route does not qualify. An eligible route should from a first country to mainland China and then to a third country or region, so you need to show the entry permit for the third country.
