i want to plan a tour of around 4 days to shanghai. can you please guide me?

You can take the Shanghai tour package on this website as a reference. A overnight rail from xian to Shanghai and then about 3 days in Shanghai or place around.

Yes, you are correct but it could take more then 5-6 days because in the roads there are usally someone crash so I recommend to use plane.
