Transit Visa for Papua New Guinean Passport Holder.

I'll be departing Ho Chi Minh City to Auckland, New Zealand and with a 17hr layover in Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Do I need to apply for a Transit Visa(G)?

No, you do not need to apply for a transit visa, for your condition is applicable to the 24-hour visa free policy. If you want to leave the airport, you need to apply for a stay permit in the airport.
