hi im a domestic helper here in hongkong and I plan to go to shenzhen for 1 day

I want to know how and what I need to go there..thanks

Although the borer has visa on arrival policy, it is easy to be denied for many people, so it is best to apply for a China visa through an agency in advance.

For the transportation, here are the ways:
By ferry: there are direct ferries at HK-Macau Ferry Terminal to Shekou Port. It takes an hour.
By MTR: take East Rail Line at Hung Hom Railway Station to LO Wu in 40min. Pass the border and you will be at Luohu, SZ City. Then transfer to other transportation mode to your destination.

As Sunny suggested it is best to get a visa in advance. You can go to the Chinese Consulate or an Agent {message me for a recommendation}.

What do you want to do in Shenzhen? There are 4 ways to get there and they terminal in different places. Maybe the cheapest and fastest is to take the border shuttle bus at the waterfront in TST {55 rmb}, then a local bus.

If you want to shop, then taking the East Rail is easier though slow.
