About:Beijing Great Wall

DIY one day hike from Gubeikou to Jinshanling

How would you suggest to get to and from there? Private car I assume? What is the cheapest/easiest? We are staying In Beijing.

Alison, you actually can take bus to Gubeikou. You can take no.980 bus from Dongzhimen Transportation Hub to Miyun Bus Station and then change Mi 25 to Gubeikou directly. It is much cheaper than hiring a private car. However, it takes too much time. It takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes by no.980 bus. Then you need to spend time waiting for Mi 25. It takes around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Gubeikou.
