Is it possible to DIY and purchase the cable car tickets to the Glacier Park on arrival in mid Sept?

Or do we need to go with a tour?

You can travel there by yourself. You need to purchase the cable car one day before the visit and you may ask the staff of your hotel for help with the booking.
