Where to find elctronic parts in Shenzhen

My husband makes his own electronic items from the ground up in his lab He orders his parts online and most of them come from SZ. We are going to be in Hong Kong and he wants to go and stock up on electronic parts and stuff for future projects. We are talking electronic components (diods, boards, chips, etc.) not finished items.

Thanks.

According to your requirements, you can go to Huaqiang North Electronic Market.
There are many stores that sell electronic components. Most products have cheap price and good quality. This area is located at the north side of SZ Avenue. You can find there easily. :-)

There are 'thousands' of booths in the Huaqiangbei Commercial Zone - you can take the subway to get there. BUT be advised there are several large buildings to search thru. SEG does have a help desk to assist you in that building.
There are 2 buildings as you exit the subway [exit A, I believe], and more across the street.

Some do not like to sell in small quantities, but there are others who will. The part numbers, especially for transistors, may be different. Bring a cross-reference list, and the specifications.

They may not know the English word, but they know the symbols and specs.

Usually the lower floors are more for components.

Bring a pen and paper to write down the booth numbers whose products you might buy later.

You can also get their business card, in case you want to order later. They are usually in Chinese, so make a note on it what components they sell.

Bring a backpack or such to contain your purchases!

Note that the more sophisticated ICs are imported.

BTW Huaqiangbei is pronounced Qua-some-bey

The fastest way is to take the bus from the waterfront [in TST], then a [local] bus.

I have a friend there who can help.
