About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I take advantage of 72 hrs Free Transit visa for 5hrs 45min and 15 hrs?

I have a US entry permit, I am flying from New Delhi to San Francisco through China, Southern Airlines my lay over time in Baiyun Guangzhou is 5hrs 45min and on my return the lay over time is 15 hrs. I am in Direct Transit do I need to apply for Transit type or can I take the advantage of 72 hrs Free Transit?

Samuel, sorry you can't take advantage of the 72h free transit but you don't need to worry. The 24-hour free transit policy is available to you so you still don't need the transit G type for both trips.
