About:China Work Visa

Teacher from United States

I am a teacher from the United States, and I have been offered a job with the BELE Education Group in Guangzhou, China. I have signed the offer letter and the contractual agreement, and I the office is now working on my Foreign Expert Certificate Application. I submitted the application to the Human Resources Manager on 06/11/2015, and it is now 07/16/2015, and I still have not heard if the Foreign Expert Certificate Application was approved or denied. So, naturally, I am starting to get worried, as I have all my "card riding on this opportunity". The HR Manager told me this needs to be approved before I can apply for a Z Visa. So, my question is as follows: Given that it has been a month since I submitted the Foreign Expert Certificate Application, should I be concerned?

Joshua, according to Guangzhou Labor Bureau, it takes 10 working days to deal with foreigners' applications. It's been a month and you still got no information. I think you might ask your HR manager to visit the bureau and confirm if there is anything wrong.
