About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

would that qualify for a visa-free visit?

I want to visit a friend in Hangzhou for a weekend between flights in and out of PEK. I arrive PEK from Seoul on Saturday afternoon. Teresa, I'm afraid not. If you transit in Beijing and you want to qualify for the 72-hour free transit, you can only stay in the adinistrative region of Beijing during the layover period. If you want to see your friend as well as to avail of the free transit policy, you should transit Hangzhou instead of Beijing.
