Hu Tong Xing

Hi, may I ask where can I get the Hu Tong Xing at?

I'll be arriving at Bao'An Airport and will be heading to HongKong via Luohu Station.

Do you recommend to buy Hu Tong Xing instead or buying 1 Shenzhen Tong + Octopus Card?

How much do they cost?

Hi, the Hu Tong Xing can be bought at the Customer Service Center of Shenzhen Tong, such as Laojie Station Center close to exit B of Laojie Subway Station, Baoan Center next to exit E or F of Baoan Center Subway Station and Longcheng Center in Longgang General Bus Station at no. 129, West Longping Road.

If you only use the card once in SZ City, it is not need to get one. It is convenient to get a subway ticket for the mere route. Then in HK, you can get an Octopus Card for a full use. But if you will go to SZ again for travel by public transportation, the Hu Tong Xing shall be the best choice.

And 1 more thing, Octopus card will inactive once you do not use for 1000 days.

What about Hu Tong Xing?

Any expiry date if inactive for a time?

Like SZ Tong, according to some website it say no expiry date.

You must know it actually has two e-purses on the card - SZ Tong and Octopus Card. I heard the card itself has no expiry date, but if you don't use it for longer than 1,000 days, its use as Octopus Card should be activated. You can search more info on the official website of HK Octopus Card.
