About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Changing employer

Hello,
I've been teaching at university in China for 3 years. I'm now switching employers and would like to know what to do about the process. What documents do I need, etc? You mentioned I won't need to start from the absolute beginning of the process, but you don't go in depth. Please provide me with some guidance. Thank you.

Ed, first you should get a release letter from your previous employer. Second, you should update alien's employment certificate or foreign expert certificate at local labor bureau. Third, you should go to local entry and exit management bureau to update your resident permit information. Usually, you just need to get the release letter. Then your new employer is responsible for updating your certificate. They know exactly what you need to prepare.
