Can you buy domestic air tickets at Chengdu airport?

arriving from Australia and would like to fly to Jiuzhaigou but only if weather is ok so i want to purchase ticket at airport after I arrive

Of course, you can buy the flight tickets in the airport. But I'm afraid it will be sold out by then, especially during peak travel seasons.
