About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

China trip: 9/3-20/2015. Chinese visa expires 9/4, US passport expires 10/13/15. Is it OK?

I'm planning a 17-day trip (arrival: September 3, 2015 and departure: September 20, 2015). My US passport expires on October 13, 2015 (23 days after exiting China) and my Chinese entry permit expires on September 4, 2015 (1 day after I enter). Are my passport and entry permit OK for the trip? I'll appreciate your quick response and thanks for your time!

Thanks Dave. So no need to get a new passport valid for at least six months?

I think there is no need to get a new passport. The six months validity is required when applying for the entry permit, but it is not required for entering China. Anyway, you should double check this with the immigration office or the embassy.
