About:China Visa Exemption

US Citizen living in Singapore

I am a U.S. Citizen with a long term residency pass in Singapore right now. Travelling to GZ as a tourist for two days (Arrive on a Friday, Depart back to SG on Sunday). Do I need a visa for this?

Bill, in principle, you need to get an L type at the CVASC in advance. However, if you want to avoild the application, you can choose to fly from SG to GZ, staying for two days, and then fly from GZ to SG via HK. In this way, the entry permit is not required because you can make use of the 72-hour free transit policy.
