i wish to travel kashghar to gulmud by train with touching urmuchi.

Is there direct  railway connection and on ward travelling to Tibet Lhasa?  Syed Ali Pakistan.

I'm afraid there is no direct connection between the two places, so transfer is needed on the way. I suggest you take a train to Korla and then transfer to a long-distance bus to Golmud. After touring there, take a train to Lhasa. For the train schedules, you can search on the train page of this website.
