About:China Visa Application Requirements

I am invited to visit my Chinese student. And I don't have any idea what papers should I prepare.

Grace, then your student should send you the invitation letter and a copy of his/her Chinese ID card. You can use the invitation letter, your passport, completed application form and a recent passport photo to apply for a Chinese L type. If you haven't been to PRC before, you should provide financial standings, such as recent six months bank statement.
