Multiple entries with a special passport

Hello,
I have a special passport which allows me to enter China without a visa and stay for one month. At the end of the first month, may I exit the country and return back in the same day? If not, how may I stay for another month in China?
Thank you in advance

Ksen, though there is no relevant requirement for the times you can enter China during a certain period, I do think you will take some risks if you exit and enter on the same day. The wise choice is just go to the exit and entry administration to apply for a normal visa when you are in China.

Hello Elizabeth, thanks for the reply. I am currently in Guangzhou for my internship, and it has been 3 weeks today. I was planning to visit Hong Kong and elongate my duration of stay by reentering the country. I have an invitation letter from the university, stating that I will be doing my internship throughout the summer.
Because of my special passport, I was not allowed to apply any kind of Chinese visas when I was back in my country (there are no Chinese visas for special passport holders), how is it different in China?

Ksen, I am afraid that you may not apply when you are in PRC too. However, you might visit local entry and exit management bureau and see if they can grant you any type because they have the final say on your matter.
