UK student applying for Visa to china in Korea

Hi there,
I am a UK student who is in korea on a tourist type and am planning to visit mainland PRC through pudong airport for one weekend while I am in Korea, I was wondering if these are the all documents I would need to submit and I have a few questions about some of them:

1)Application for Entry for Visit/Transit in Hong Kong (ID 1003A)

2)Recent photograph (affixed on page 1 of the application form ID 1003A)

3)Photocopy of passport

4) Photocopy of financial standing proof, e.g. bank statements, savings accounts passbooks, tax receipts, etc. and proof of employment (if any), e.g. company leave letter, salary slips, etc.

Q-Does this mean there is a minimum amount of money I must have when applying, If I was mainly using cash right now would I need to put that money back into my international bank account and obtain a bank statement

5)Photocopy of proof of transportation arrangement, e.g. flight itinerary

Q-Is this just a copy of the 2 way flight ticket journey?

6)Photocopy of proof of the proposed leisure visit to Hong Kong, e.g. receipt of joining a package tour to Hong Kong, itinerary, etc.

Q-I am going to meet a friend and stay with him for the 2 days I am there, how would I be able to prove that?

Hopefully you can tell me if all these requirements are correct and answer my questions about the documents I am unsure about so I can apply as soon as possible,

Thanks in advance

Hussien, I’m afraid you have made a mistake. The documents you listed here are used to apply for the HK entry permit rather than mainland entry permit. To apply for the mainland entry permit, you don’t need to provide the financial background proof. You can ask your friend to write you an invitation letter so that you don’t need to submit round-trip tickets or hotel reservations. Other documents you need are your passport, passport copy, application form (different from the form ID 1003A), and a recent photo. However, it’s possible that the original and photocopy of an Alien Residence Card are also needed.
