I have a work and residence permit in China which will expire in Sept.  My employer will be renewing my permits for another year. Since I work in IT,  I can work and have been working in and outside for the past 3 years. Im currently working remotely outside. I will be going back to Shanghai  this Aug to renew my work and residence permit for another year. My friend wanted to come with me as tourist.  he is 21 years old Asian and is currently jobless. I will pay all her expenses for this trip and entire temporary stay in China. Can she get a tourist visa and come with me?  IF so, what are the requirements?

Fredo, she can apply for the L type. You just need to write her an invitation letter and give copies of your passport information page and your resident permit. However, your resident permit is going to expire soon. I think that there is a chance that her application might be refused. So you might buy her round-trip air tickets and hotel booking in Shanghai. Then she can use them to apply for the L type too.
