About:China Visa Application Requirements

Do I need an "inviter" to visit China if I want to visit as a tourist?

I am planning to go to Shanghai for 5 days on the way to a trip to Tokyo. Do I need to have someone "invite" me? There is a line on the VISA form for that.

Hey, Christine, the "inviter" is not a mandatory requirement. It's okay if you don't have one. Just fill in this line with "None".
