About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travel agent tells me I need to apply for a visa, but this site tells me I needn't.

day stop at Xiamen Friday 11 Sept on cruise ship, Diamond Princess, due to arrive 0700 hrs, depart 1400 hrs same day.
Please confirm whether it is required so I can inform travel agent. thanks, Tony Hansen

You just transit less than 24 hours in Xiamen so that you needn't apply one. You enjoy 24 hours free transit policy.
