traveling to china for a 12 day vacation late july. do we need a visa?

One of the people traveling is also traveling with a student group organization to Europe July 5-23. Her passport needs to be turned in to her group leader by June 20.  Can she apply with a copy of her passport? She's 16 years old. Thank you

Barbara, I don't think she can apply with a copy of her passport. The original one is required. And you of course need to apply for entry permits for 12 days vacation in PRC.
