About:China Visa Application in USA

My family and I will be traveling to Beijing and Hong Kong July 2011 for vacation/holiday. Do we each need to fill out a visa application or just the adults? We will have one child (8) traveling with us. Also, are you required to have a visa to travel to Hong Kong or only Beijing?

You don't need a visa to Hong Kong, but you all need a visa to Beijing, you all need to fill out a visa application, you or your husband can fill the visa application on behalf of you kid
