About:China Work Visa

Is it legal in China to get work permit from one place and work at another place?

I am working in Dalian and have work permit / residence visa issued from Shanghai. Is it a problem from work permit rules and regulations perspective? If yes, then what are its implications? Can my company get my work permit/residence permit transferred to Dalian?

Generally speaking, if nobody checks your paperwork, there won't be problems. However, if you want to play safe, you can ask your company to get your work permit and residence permit transferred to Dalian.
