which type of chinese visa for us citizen with china born wife with hong kong passport

I am a US citizen, my wife has a Hong Kong passport. If I wanted to visit PRC, would I apply for a L tourist type? Or should I apply for something else?

Howard, if your wife doesn't have the Home Return Permit, then she needs to apply for a special travel document from Chinese embassy or consulate. The required documents are:1. application form for applying China Passport / travel document / Return Certificate2. four recent six months passport photos (48X33mm)3. orginal and copy of her HK passport4. valid resident permit or visa (original and copy versions) in the USA
