About:China Work Visa

Are there any guidelines on criminal records when applying for a work visa for entry into China?

After being charged with more serious felony charges I plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief which basically reads as destruction of property in the NYS penal code. This plea took place in 1999. I hold a bachelor's degree and the idea of teaching overseas, particularly China, appeals to me. Would it be possible with this blemish on my record?

Michael, if you are just applying for a tourist type, it might be fine. However, if you are applying for the work type, I'm afraid there will be some problems. Anyway, you can still have a try.
