About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I'm a Swiss citizen and I'd like to know if it's possible for me to apply for a 12 months visa.

Hi! If I apply for a multi-entry 6 months type, then can i just go to HK and apply for a new one and go back? Or should I wait for some time?
thanks a lot

Jack, do you plan to apply for a 12-month one from Hong Kong? I don't think it's possible to do so if you haven't obtained HK residence status. In addtion, as long as your six-month multiple-entry permit is valid, you can go to HK and reenter mainland without problems. If the validity runs out, you shoud apply for another one, but not likely the 12-month one.

THanks Diana!

If I get a 6 months type, when the 6 months finished can I go to HK, for example, and apply for a new one? I'm planning staying in CHina 10 months, so I'll need a 6 months one and then 4 more months.

thanks a lot

Jack, I am not sure if you can get another six months multiple one in HK. As I said, the authorities require the applicants to provide their HK resident status. I think you are not able to provide this, right?
