How much are you going to take out? If it is no more than 10000 USD, then you can require the bank to issue the permit. If it is more than 10000, you need to apply from the bank first and then you should go to local Administration of Exchange Control to ask for permission. If they agree, then they will stamp your permit. With the sams of the bank and the administration, then you can bring your money to go through the customs without any trouble.

So you just need to visit the bank and the staff there can tell you what you should do to acquire that permit.

I was hoping to take around 10,000 since the limit is only 5,000USD. Obviously the more is better. I asked The Bank of Beijing and they said I had to visit their main branch in Jiang guo men. I am going to have a rep. from my company call and see what kind of forms are necessary for the permit.

Thank you!
