About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Does this still qualify me for the transit?

I am traveling to Beijing on standby. However, I will have a confirmed ticket to Seoul, South Korea. This will be a round trip. US to Beijing to South Korea, back to Beijing to USA.

Well, if the airline allows you to board on the plane, then I think you can make use of the 72-hour free transit policy on your way to seoul. On your way back to the US, you must have the confirmed ticket to the US if you plan to use this policy for a second time.
