About:Marriage Registration in China

marry with chiense girl

i am from india and i am working in china last 4 year and i want to marry with chinese girl ..but for that i do not know the procedure how to get the document and where to go for that .. i live in china now zhejinag city

Sanjay, you should first get a single status certificate from the consulate-general in Shanghai. Then prepare your passport, residence permit, and the certificate. Your girl take her ID card, family book, and a single-status from the authority in her register permanent residence (refers to "Hu Kou Suo Zai Di" in Chinese. Then both of you should go to the local civil affairs department to register your marriage.

thanks to me replay ..
so i need to go shanghai to get single status affidavit. and i have here Z type. and this Z type is one year and from last 4 years i use Z type from the my company,, and before i divorce in india so i have divorce decree paper from court, so i also need to take this .. because some person told me that i must go india to get single person status certificate .. but i am in now PRC.. so i go india embassy in shanghai show my decree paper then they can issuse me the signle stataus certificate ,,and also marraigability cirtificate from inda embassy in shanghai ?

Sanjay, you had better dial the consulate in Shanghai for exact information. If they don't provide such certificate for you, then you have to go to India to get the single-status certificate and have your divorce certificate notarized and authenticated. Their number is 021-62758885.
