About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

72 hour visa. I am planning to come to Beijing from Chicago for 48 hours.

Is it acceptable for my travel itinerary to be go fly from Chicago to Beijing and to fly back to Chicago from Beijing. Or does a third destination need to be involved?

Hey, your route is not eligible, a third destination has to be involved. It's possible that you can choose Hong Kong or Macao as the third destination.
