About:China City Guide

I will be entering with a Z-Type Visa .

I am scheduled to relocate to Jingjiang City,Jiangsu Province,P.R.China for about a year to work in a Shipyard.

1. What type I should get for my Wife Who will be accompanying me, M or S1/S2 ? After entering and converting my Z type to resident permit , i have to apply for my wife's resident type.

2. My wife is about 2 months pregnant now . Is there any travel restrictions known? How is the Medical Facilities particularly Gynecology service around Taizhou region? Is there an English Speaking Doctor available? Which Hospital is recommended for foreigners?

3. Accommodation will be arranged by my employer . How can I get an Ayi ( Maid ) preferably English Speaking? How much it cost?

4. How is the availability of Indian grocery around Taizhou region ? Should I Pack some grocery from India?

1. She needs to apply for S1. Actually, you don't have to arrive at Jingjiang first. You two can go to China together. See if your company can send an invitation letter to your wife. If yes, you can get to the city at the same time. And you can take the plane with your pregnant wife. :-)

2. According your wife's situation, she can take a plane. As far as I know, this region has several professional and speacial Gynecology hospitals. So don't worry. But I'm not sure whether if there are many doctors that can commounicate with you in fluent English. You can go to Jingjiang People's Hospital. The gynecology in this hospital is well-known in this region.

3. About the English Speaking Maid, I think that it's not easy for you to find after arriving. So maybe you can ask help for the Forum/Community of this website. There are lots of people that may provide some necessary help.

4. Well, it is not necessary for you to bring the grocery from your country. There are several large supermarkets that provides import groceries. Don't worry. :-)
