About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can my onward ticket be a different airline? Will I be eligible for the 72hrs transit permit?

Hi, My flight is from Canada direct to Shanghai PVG with AC, and plan to take a Chinese budget airline onward to Hong Kong in 2 days. The budget airline ticket will be purchased and confirmed before I arrive Shanghai. Thanks!

Rei, the tickets can be of different airlines, so you still fulfill the requirements of 72hrs transit permit.
