duration and fare for Qingdao

I will be in shanghai in june. from there I intend to travel to this city by bullet train. how many hours will it takes from Shanghai to reach QD, and the ticket for returning to Shanghai cost? Is it faster and economical. I will have to save way for this 10 days visit. Please help . thanks very much.
