L type to Z-type

Jane, generally speaking, you can change the L type into Z type within mainland. I suggest you first try to do so at the local exit and entry adminstration bureau. If it is true that you cannot do so, you have to exit and apply for the Z type. It’s hard to say whether your application at any other country can be accepted. I would suggest you going back to your home country and apply for the Z type.
