About:China Visa on Arrival

Please tell me whether if I will be permissible for visa free transit at Shanghai.

If yes how much time on arrival is required for completing the formality.

I am travelling to Japan from New Delhi, Indian national. Flight has stop at Shanghai and about 24 hrs time is available for connecting flight.

You have to make sure how long your transit is, counting from your arrival until your departure. If it is less than 24 hours, then you needn't apply one because you enjoy 24 hours free transit. If it is longer than 24 hours, you should apply for a transit type in advance.

Indians are not entitled to enjoy 72 hours free transit.
